The state bought the national currency from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in the amount of 10 million euros
The Vatican Bank has paid for Russian gas in rubles, media reported. It is noted that the state located in the center of Rome bought a ruble from the Central Bank of Russia in the equivalent amount of 10 million euros.
According to sources, the Vatican has completed all the necessary steps included in the algorithm for purchasing gas in rubles. The method of purchasing energy resources in Russian currency was previously defined by the Government of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the G7 countries did not agree to Russia’s request to pay for energy in the national currency. In response, the Kremlin said the Russian Federation had no plans to engage in “pan-European charity” and supply free gas to the West. Spokesman for the President Dmitry Peskov explained that in accordance with the instructions, all the mechanisms for receiving and receiving payments under the new scheme will be developed.
The chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that European countries have the opportunity to pay for all markets in rubles and this is not a tragedy. He also called on foreign partners to buy timber, metals, oil and other goods sold by the Russian Federation in Russian rubles.
