There were changes in the world rankings, both for men and women, regarding the position of Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipas. A few days before the US Open, which is the last grand slam of the season, things changed.

Maria Sakkari returned to No. 3 in the world ranking, maintained by the WTA. The Greek champion has 4,190 points and left behind the Spaniard, Paola Bandosa, who had… overtaken her in the previous ranking.

An impressive rise was recorded by Romanian Simona Halep, as after winning the tournament in Toronto, she rose nine places and is now No. 6. Despina Papamichael improved by two places (187th with 346 points), while Valentini Grammatikopoulou dropped three places (239th with 280 points).

Poland’s Iga Swiatek is always at the top with 8,501 points, while the top ten of the world ranking is as follows:

The Norwegian Kasper Ruud “replaced” Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 5th place of the world ranking, maintained by the ATP, with the Greek champion losing two places and with 4,650 points, being in the 7th place.

Russian Daniil Medvedev remains the leader, followed by German Alexander Zverev and Spanish Rafa Nadal, while the ATP top ten is as follows:
