“I am very happy for my fourth consecutive European medal. It’s like a new beginning for me. Very happy because I came for this year’s record and I did it. I considered Slovenia a bigger opponent, but Finland had the fight of her life. The goal is the podium in a European championship and I succeeded” said the Greek champion who, when asked about the fact that this is her fourth medal in the event, commented:

“I don’t know if it’s unbelievable. I must say that, in general, a good job is being done in the throws and jumps.”

Regarding the winner and Sutey, Katerina said: “Sutey cut her hand in the warm-up and I wonder how she managed to compete. He went to the hospital for stitches now. Mourto showed from the world that she is fine. I expected him to do well”

The medal table at the European Athletics Championships in Munich, after the completion of the 3rd day of competition, is as follows:

Germany 4 3 1 8
