World Rugby, the highest authority on international rugby, announced the best players of the year. In the men’s division, Toulouse and France scrum half Antoine Dupont received the distinction of the best player in the world.
The 25-year-old Frenchman, selected 35 times with his country’s team, beat English second line Maro Itoje and two Australians, third line Michael Hooper and center Samu Kerevi.

For her part, the English Zoe Aldcroft, captain of the XV de la ‘Rosa’, took first place in the female category. She prevailed over her compatriot Poppy Cleal and the French Caroline Boujard and Laure Sansus.
