The 22 collaborating academies will participate in a two-day event during which the way the Academy is organized and operated (procedures and rules that govern it) will be presented in detail and will also focus on women’s football, but also on the way in which each Academy individually it can act as a vehicle in the fight against climate change.
The educational program of the seminar, which was formed after the cooperation of the Network Directorate with the collaborating clubs, will be overseen by the Athletic Director of the Academy and Head of Network Education, Ilias Kyriakidis, who will also open the seminar on Saturday morning with proposal that will be entitled “Framework for Academy Organization and Operation”.
According to the relevant announcement of PAE AEK “… there will be a training unit of the women’s team Soufli 2018 – under the guidance of the coach of the AEK Academy, Mr. Stelios Orphanidis and the technical director of AS Evros Soufliu, Mr. Giorgos Petkidis – but also theoretical work of seminar participants based on the specific training unit. Saturday’s program will close with a presentation by Mr. Ioannis Konstantopoulos, founder and CEO of The Sports Footprint, whose main objective is sustainable development through sports.
The second day is entirely dedicated to women’s football. It will begin with a presentation of the Girl Power Academy Greece educational program entitled “Football as a Tool for Women’s Empowerment” by Ms. Christina Koromilas, executive of PAE AEK’s Communication Department and by PAE’s legal advisor Ms. Zografenia Kallimani and will be followed by a presentation by of the Girls’ National Team of Greece Ms. Katerina Falida on the topic “Women’s Football Today and Points of Attention during the Training Unit”. The program will close with friendly matches between the women’s teams of AEK and Soufli 2018 Women’s Football Club and then AEK and Avantides of Chalkida”.
