Determined to “turn it around” they are in Ionikos, who did not start the championship well, as they continue to add quality to the roster. The latest acquisition of Nicaea is Semba, who is known from his time at Olympiakos.
The 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder is expected to help Ionikos with his quality and experience.
The announcement in detail:
“PAE Ionikos is pleased to announce the acquisition of Seba (sr. Sebastiao de Freitas Couto Junior his full name).
This is a particularly quality striker, who comes to our team to raise it to a level!
The new footballer in our team is 30 years old, left-footed, comes from Brazil and can play in all positions of the attacking line.
He started his career from Cruzeiro, followed by his loan to Nacional Esporte Club and then to Porto B. In the summer of 2013, Estoril bought him, with Seba playing for the first time outside of Brazil, while two years later, Olympiacos spent 1.8 million euros to acquire him.
With the “red and whites” he made 99 appearances with 11 goals and 19 assists, while he then played in China (Chongqing Lifan) and Saudi Arabia (Al Shabab).
He was also twice international with Brazil’s U20, while he has won a Portuguese championship and two Greek championships.
The Ionikos family welcomes Sebas and wishes him good luck and health in the new season.”
