The superiority of Peristeriou was recognized by Bnei Erzelia coach Oren Aharoni, while he bowed to his colleague Vassilis Spanoulis.
“Peristeri bwin deserved the win, they were much more aggressive than us, they had a better image in defense. Our opponents were in control of the pace and the rebounds, and as a result they reached a relatively easy victory” he initially argued.
And he added: “As for Vassilis Spanoulis, he is a legendary player and one of the greatest ever to play. Peristeri bwin is a well trained team. It is an honor for me to be in front of him. He is a legend of European basketball. We are waiting to see how it develops. It remains to be seen if from being a legend on the parquet, he will also become a legend on the benches.”
Morris Kemp who was the top player of the Israelis admitted that “the bwin Pigeon was better and showed it from the first to the last minute of the game”.
