“In this very difficult time for all of us, I propose to award our president the title of Hetman of Ukraine, as one of the most famous leaders,” the author of the petition noted.
In order for the petition to be considered by the President of Ukraine, it must receive more than 25,000 votes. The document was registered today and so far less than 10 votes have been received, the newspaper notes.
Before that, the European Parliament nominated Vladimir Zelensky for the Nobel Prize against the backdrop of Russia’s launch of a special operation in Ukraine. Despite the fact that the application deadline had already expired, politicians urged the Norwegian Nobel Committee to make an exception. They explained their request with “historical and unprecedented events”. However, the Nobel committee said that it cannot extend the deadline for nominations.
