Sergey Bychkov, the head of the Department of Combating Economic Customs Offenses of the Central Operational Customs Administration of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, was arrested in connection with a series of large bribes. Law enforcement agencies informed TASS about this on Friday.
“As a result of operational and search measures, Sergei Bychkov, the head of the department for combating economic customs offenses of the Central Customs Administration of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, was arrested and charged with mediation. A series of bribes”, said the interlocutor of the agency.
He added that in the near future the Moscow court will select a preventive measure for him.
The press service of the Moscow Presnensky Court confirmed to TASS that the court received materials requesting Bychkov’s arrest.
“From the investigation, the court received a motion to choose a restraining measure against Bychkov. He is accused under Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Mediation in taking bribes”),” the court notes.
